Hillary Clinton’s deposition to Congress about Jeffrey Epstein has been halted after a picture was leaked from the hearing.
Members of Mrs Clinton’s team said that the sharing of the image, which shows the former secretary of state wearing a blue blazer and sitting behind a white table, was against chamber rules.
“The hearing has been paused briefly while they figure out where the photo came from and why, possibly members of Congress are violating house rules,” two staff told the Daily Mail.
Benny Johnson, a conservative influencer, posted the picture to X claiming it had been provided by Lauren Boebert, a Republican representative. It was the “first image of Hillary Clinton testifying under oath,” he wrote.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the House Oversight Committee on Thursday she has no new information about Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, criticizing Republicans' handling of their investigations into the late convicted sex offender.
"I had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island home or offices," she said in the opening statement, which she posted on X and delivered during a closed-door hearing with lawmakers.
She accused the panel of engaging in partisan "fishing expeditions" by forcing her and her husband to sit for depositions, and said they are interviewing the wrong people.
"[Y]ou have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation. in order to distract attention from President Trump's actions and cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers," she wrote in the statement.

Podcaster Benny Johnson shared a photo on X of Hillary Clinton testifying under oath as part of the committee’s probe into the Jeffrey Epstein investigations.
Committee rules prohibit outside press or photographers from taking pictures during such proceedings.
The deposition is being recorded but the footage will only be released after Clinton’s attorneys have a chance to review it, chairman James Comer previously said.

The closed-door depositions in the Clintons’ hometown of Chappaqua, a typically quiet hamlet north of New York City, come after months of tense back-and-forth between the former high-powered Democratic couple and the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee. It will be the first time that a former president has been forced to testify before Congress.
