The political fight over the “Epstein affair” has entered a new, more intense stage. Democrats warn that if they regain the majority in the House in the November elections, Melania Trump could also be called to testify before the Oversight Committee.

The announcement comes from Representative Robert Garcia, a senior member of the House oversight body. In an interview with CNN, the lawmaker did not rule out the possibility of hearing from the President’s wife as part of the investigation into ties with Jeffrey Epstein.

“We want the First Lady , who we know had a relationship with, well, with Jeffrey Epstein, to come in under oath and testify to the oversight committee. That is the new precedent that Republicans wanted to set here.”
