Forum privacy considerations

I wanted to give some insight into this forums privacy and some things to keep in mind.
  • When uploading attachments to the forum I'd encourage only using JPGs as the metadata will be removed automatically. Unfortunately other file types will not so I'd recommend using a tool such as this (source code) before uploading attachments.
  • This forums server and data are hosted in Europe, and are not subject to U.S. data governance. The domain is currently not, but I plan on transferring it to the a European provider when I am able to.
  • While not everyone cares, including myself at times. I recommend not sharing personal information on here to keep your identity hidden.
  • If you are able to, I'd also recommend using an email that is not your primary one, I personally have a unique email address for every account I create. Email addresses are the only 'personal' data collected and stored when making an account, outside of the IP address used when creating your account.
