Le 17 septembre 2014, au 38ᵉ étage du siège des Nations unies à New York, un diplomate français écrit à Jeffrey Epstein depuis son bureau officiel. Il s’appelle Fabrice Aidan. À ce moment-là, il est le collaborateur direct de Terje Rød-Larsen, sous-secrétaire général de l’ONU, artisan des accords d’Oslo et figure centrale des négociations internationales au Moyen-Orient. Ce qu’il transmet ce jour-là ne vient pas de lui. « Terje m’a demandé de vous faire suivre le document ci-joint qui comprend les pages préliminaires du livre que nous publions en novembre sur le Moyen-Orient… », écrit-il à Jeffrey Epstein. Puis il précise : « Il inclut la table des matières, l’introduction et les cartes. Il en discutera avec vous quand il arrivera à New York (demain).

Ce message, banal en apparence, dit tout. Epstein reçoit, avant publication, des éléments stratégiques produits par l’ONU, à la demande directe d’un de ses plus hauts responsables. Six ans après sa condamnation pour incitation de mineures à la prostitution, le financier disgracié est redevenu un interlocuteur informé, consulté, intégré.

On September 17, 2014, on the 38th floor of the United Nations headquarters in New York, a French diplomat wrote to Jeffrey Epstein from his official office. His name was Fabrice Aidan. At the time, he was the direct collaborator of Terje Rød-Larsen, UN Under-Secretary-General, architect of the Oslo Accords and a central figure in international negotiations in the Middle East. What he transmitted that day did not originate with him. “Terje asked me to forward you the attached document, which includes the preliminary pages of the book we are publishing in November on the Middle East…” he wrote to Jeffrey Epstein. He then added: “It includes the table of contents, the introduction, and the maps. He will discuss it with you when he arrives in New York (tomorrow).”

This seemingly innocuous message says it all. Before publication, Epstein receives strategic information produced by the UN, at the direct request of one of its top officials. Six years after his conviction for inciting minors to prostitution, the disgraced financier has once again become an informed, consulted, and integrated partner.
